ANOTHER BROW SAVIOR: The Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer

My eyebrows are the one part of my makeup routine that I struggle with and it’s a daily battle. I’ve tried many brow products over the years and the one I’ve stuck with for some time now is Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, mainly as the colour is the best match I’ve found and it has a nice small nib to work with. So when I saw that Anastasia Beverley Hills had launched a new and improved version of the Brow Wiz called the Brow Definer I had to try it!
Packaging - The Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer is larger than the Brow Wiz but still has the two ends. One with a spoolie and one with the pencil.
Applicator - The Brow Definer has a very unique retractable triangle shape nib. The thought process behind it is that you use the thin/ sharpest point of the pencil to create fine hair strokes, the back side of the pencil to create medium brush strokes and the widest part of the pencil to fill the brows in.
I was quite dubious about this before trying it, but I must say I love it and it really does work. The pencil can get flat and dull quickly but if you rub it along the back of your hand a few times it sharpens up. Although if you have very small eyebrows you may struggle as overall the pencil is quite large so you may be better off sticking to the Brow Wiz.
Formula - The formula of the pencil is the same of the Brow Wiz – soft and creamy, making it effortless to apply.
Shade - I purchased the shade ‘Taupe’ which is the palest eyebrow shade I have found from any brand, and is very much needed when you have hair and skin as pale as I do (I try and avoid the Drag Queen look!). The spoolie is fab at brushing out the hairs and giving a softer look if you’ve gone in slightly too hard.
I used to go through a Brow Wiz about every three months so I’m hoping that as the Brow Definer has a larger surface area it will last longer, and therefore make it more affordable – Well I’m hoping anyway! If you are a fan of eyebrow pencils then definitely give this a go.
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer comes in 10 shades and can be purchased in the UK from BeautyBay or Cult Beauty for £16.
