“Dichotomy” - Black & White Makeup look

I hope you enjoy this makeup look that I have decided to call Dichotomy; as there is such a stark contrast between the two separate eyeshadow looks I created.
I used shades from both the Morphe James Charles Mini palette and the Morphe 35I Icy Fantasy palette.

For the white or light side, I tried to keep it completely monotone....
- I used my Nyx white eyeshadow base and used the white eyeshadow shade from the James Charles palette.
- I then used my Nyx glitter glue and went over it with one of the white iridescent shimmer shades from Icy Fantasy to give it that extra pop.
- My Nyx white liquid eyeliner was perfect for creating my winged liner.
- To keep the look light I used my Goddess lash from the Lilly Lashes Lite Mink collection. I used a neat trick on my lower lashes of taking a clean spoolie and placing some of the white liquid eyeliner on it and used that to go over my lower lashes to give them a light coating.
- For my waterline, I used Nyx Faux Whites eyeliner pencil in Mint Creme

For the dark side....
- I used the same Nyx eyeshadow base and slowly built up the transition shade using greys from 35I. Once I felt they were blended enough...
- I went in with the heavy black from the James Charles mini palette, blending it into the crease/transition shade. Once I was satisfied with that...
- I used my Revlon So Fierce vinyl eyeliner pencil to darken the black on my lid even more and used a smudge brush to soften any hard lines. I also used it in my waterline.
- For the lower lash line I used the grey shades from the 35I and lightly went over them with the black from the James Charles palette.
- I finished with the Lilly Lashes So Extra Miami.

For my lips...
- I used a lip primer from Stila and my Nyx faux whites and Revlon vinyl eyeliner pencils to line and fill in my lips.
I used a white shadow to pack over and set the white liner and went over that with Tarteist glossy lip paint in Instafamous.
- For the darker side, I used Nyx soft matte lip creme in Transylvania over the black liner.
I had so much fun creating this look and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Let me know what kind of fun makeup looks you create when you're feeling adventurous 💕

Such a fun look! I love it. Thank you for posting. Sometimes I mesh both looks together. Maybe you can show a third picture with the two looks together!❤️❤️❤️

This look is so fun, especially with Halloween around the corner! 😍 One time, I decided to do a surreal makeup look with bright colors used in unusual ways! I colored my eyebrows green, gave myself a blue button nose, added bright blue eyeshadow, rosy pink blush on my cheeks, and little freckles across my cheeks and nose. It was a memorable look! 😉🎉✨

Emoji-Smile, I would do a bright yellow look to make a few people chuckle-it is all about the laughs!

That's so cute and perfect for Halloween! I love it and it looks amazing on you! If I was going to choose an emoji to base a make up look on, I would have to pick 💎. I love a shimmery, sparkly look. I would use glitter flip lipgloss, Stila liquid eyeshadow in kitten, glittery mascara, Melanie Mills highlighter in Peach Deluxe, ect. I would probably even brush some shimmer across my chest and shoulders!

I love this. Such a cool interesting look. You did amazing. I would pick the crystal ball emoji🔮 I love the color and I think I would use glitter and lots of purple eyeshadows.

🌈🌈This is such a fun look. I love it! I want to try doing each eye in different shades of blue or green. I love Nyx liquid eyeliner. It makes it so easy to draw on wings and they come in such pretty colors. Thanks for the great look! 🌈🌈

Very artistic. I would choose the dark side, if I had create your look. T.o try a new makeup look I would choose a dark shade of lipstick to be adventurous .

The white side is too scary but I enjoy my left of your face with the darker make up look on is great. All these product you chose look great on.

i would chose to use a heart emoji for my makeup base its easy and i can make it bright, colorful and glittery. i would use the shimmery red eyeshadow to fill in the heart from the jacklyn hill vol 2 palette. i will outline the heart with white eyeliner pencil by stila. i would be inspired to do this look whether on halloween or valentines day.

I love it!! I have always had very thick and ling, but blonde eyelashes and was always insecure about them, so when I see looks with the white lashes, I swoon❤

  • Carol Crosswicks

Such a beautifully amazing look. It shows the two side to everyone of us. For instance, even if we are not in the best mood, we don't have to show it as a "mean, mad, angry" etc..... We can be BEAUTIFUL not matter what.

So cool! and very beautiful! You are talented and could be a professional makeup artist for real. I am very interested in the Revlon So Fierce Vinyl Eyeliner. I want to try it. This is the first time I've ever seen white eyeliner. I love this fun. Thank you.

This type of look is quite interesting but I’m not sure I could pull this off the white side I may end up looking quite ashy lol. You definitely nailed it though!
