Easy DIY Lip Balm from old Lipsticks! πŸ’‹ DIY 𝖇𝖔𝖒𝖇 α—·α—©α’ͺα—° πŸ’‹

Lately, I find myself layering lipsticks, glosses, and stains to get the color and finish I’m looking for. After countless combos, I finally found one that I love.
Using the same lipsticks and some other secret ingredients (vitamin E to nourish and peppermint oil for plump) I made a batch!
Instead of  πŸ—‘ ones you don’t wear repurpose them. It’s good for the environment, saves $, and is a fun experiment. I also learned a lot about colors and textures!
There are various DIY πŸ’„ tutorials out there that require a lot of materials and steps that made it difficult for me. This one is quick, easy (I did it while doing an infusion) and best of all made me happy. Hope it’s fun for you too!
What combos would you try and what would you name the shade?

What a cool idea. I know someone who is brave to mix all this together and make it work. Thanks, you really know how to make this work. Nice peachy pink color too. DIY Bomb Balm. Want to try this Colour Riche.

Would love to do this using coconut oil then add lipstick I think it would be cool and leave your lips nice and soft as well. I think I will have to do some searching to how to do it.

Thanks so much for the idea! Saves us lots of cash repurposing shades I don't wear and lipstick that's almost gone!

I wish I was creative like you! I always layer lip sticks with glosses, layer different colors. All to achieve a look I can’t find in stores!! Great job!

  • Audrey Barczynski

I might have to try that thanks

This is super interesting and I would have NEVER though to do this! I just started getting into lipsticks so I don't have a huge collection, just one pink color that looks horrible on me:( So I will definitely have to try this!!

    Oh I love that color!

  • Kaitlin white

Very interesting I would have never thought to do this. Then again I only have a million different shades of nude and nude pink because everything else looks terrible on My tiny lips but this is definitely a great idea

This is a great Idea for when you get down to the last bit of lipstick in your tube. You can scrape out lipstick because there is always more in a tube that doesn't twist out and gets wasted unless you dig in it with a lip brush. I would not do this with a full tube but I will keep this in mind for when my tube is almost all the way down.

Nice video. I'll need to try this one day. I haven't learned any new DIY beauty skill recently. Since I don't wear a lot of nailpolish (I can't pray with it on), I need to learn to draw different patterns.

I've actually done this before and it turned out great. Even my daughter made some for herself. Even made some tinted chapstick. I'm glad you had fun and good luck with your infusions! As for the daily questions? I loved the dyi tip I got from someone on here where you use tape to take off the top of your nails and then paint each tip a different pastel shade. Very pretty almost like a French tip. I feel like thanks to all these videos and reviews, I'm improving on my eyeshadow application skills some. I really appreciate everyone's help with that. I still need help with my eyebrows though but I'm getting there lol. Hope you all are having a great day! πŸ’œ

You got a pretty cool idea there Serena! You need to patent it before anyone else thinks of it. I love the idea.

  • Jen

That is so cool! I love that you repurposed old lipsticks to make this.

No video given on this DIY Lip Balm. The products look nice. Thanks for these two products. Colour Riche Plump shine.

This is so cute and creative! This is the best thing to do in my free time now. I normally would throw out the products but now I can turn it into an awesome lip balm. Thank you for sharing this:))

Ok now that's adorable. I have this little stack of attachable pill holders and now I'm going to have a little project. This is legit the coolest thing I have seen in a long time. I have a couple colors that are too dark so I might even try mixing that with a little nude to see what that gives me!

Talk about creative and definitely saves money!! Awesome video. One Beauty skill I have improved on is my skincare routine. I have really taken the time to get to know and understand my products that have made my skin so much better. Once you get that routine in order, it makes wearing makeup so much better.

I have done this with the little bit you cant seem to get out of the bottom. I will save my little leftover powders, blush and lipsticks. Then I will reuse to make a full powder, blush or lipstick. With the powder you just added some rubbing alcohol to make a paste let dry and you have a new pressed powder or blush out of old ones. I have been doing this for years. Must of them turn out being a better shade for my skin.

Wow, this looks like a fun experiment to create some even nicer product with a boost of benefits! I really like the creation you made here it looks so fun and so much better with the additional ingredients. I love the idea of peppermint oil and vitamin E, very good for the body and lips. I think if I made creation for a beautiful DIY with makeup would be using a combination of vaseline and lipstick like a cheap brand wet and wild. I would probably choose a very deep red color or bold and bright pink like retro pink and then mix the two together. Mixing till it creates a perfect mixture. Finally ending in the results of a lipgloss style lipstick. It lowers the strong color and allows for a smooth and glossy style lip color, which isn't too strong as it was without being mixed. Plus, it keeps lips moisturized with the vasaline in the mixture and a higher amount of shiny gloss.

Hold up, this is amazing! What video editor app are you using!

Wow! This is a great idea! I’ve improved my nail polish while in quarantine because I have so much time to paint my nails
