Do's & Don'ts of Exfoliating: Touch In Sol Mission Complete Mild Scrub

This is my first impression of the Touch In Sol Mission Complete Mild Scrub. Just another day of dealing with combo skin and clogged pores, what’s new?

Product Info
🦋Touch In Sol Mission Complete Mild Scrub😆
- Description: A gentle exfoliating scrub that cleanses the surface of the skin, eliminates dead skin like and leaves smooth and luminous skin.
- Texture: Light gray gel with small particles
- Scent: Fresh floral/fruity scent
- Pricing: $22 for 120ml/4 Oz (that’s pretty good!)

😅Hand Test😋
I like to try any exfoliant on my hand first to make sure the particles are not too harsh and get an idea of the effects. It is very blend-able and stays slippery so I can take my time massaging it without it drying up.
⏰After 20 seconds of massaging the gel and …my dead skin… collects into little clumps. Ew, but yay!
🦋Before & After: It feels noticeably smoother and a tiny tiny bit brighter. I followed with hand cream and exfoliated my other hand as well.

😅Face Test😋
I focused the scrub on my chin because I get a lot of excess sebum, which turns into tiny whiteheads….(graphic close-ups again). But you can see the little bumps, it is hard to capture the actual whiteheads sticking up.
⏰ I applied the Touch In Sol Mission Complete Mild Scrub to clean, dry skin and massaged it for 20 seconds. There was no stinging or tingling, just the general satisfying texture of an exfoliant. You can see the little clumps it formed.
🦋Before & After: Rinse and dry. The whiteheads that were sticking out were all gone, it doesn’t get rid of the bumpiness but it definitely helps cleanse the surface and help decrease sebum build-up over time.

🧐Verdict 🧐
Here are some Do’s and Don’t’s I can say about this product.
✅Use this product to exfoliate areas with excess sebum, oil, or blocked pores.
✅ Pair this product with a good moisturizer after.
✅ 1-2 times a week
🚫Use this product on open pimples, breakouts, or sensitive areas
🚫Pair this with a chemical exfoliant on the same day, pacing is important with exfoliating

Thanks for sharing your tips. This is a well written, very helpful review. I want to try this even more now! As for today's daily questions? I currently use Mario Badescu Botanical Exfoliating Scrub once a week and love it!! It has a nice clean, flowery smell and works well at getting rid of dead skin cells. I do think that the Mission Complete Mild Scrub would work great for me and am anxiously waiting to hear if I've been selected to try the amazing tester bag. Lately I've been having a few minor break outs (probably from sweating so bad) and a lot more oil build up. I think the Mission Complete Mild Scrub would work great for me! I would love to win a mini scrub to try. Plus it would be great for travel! I really hope I get selected for a tester bag, I've already started brainstorming ideas on how to review it for you beautiful people. I'm waiting anxiously and semi patiently lol. Have a great day! 🌞

I love exfoliating. Is there is a reason you dont recommend your whole face? Nothing makes me feel better when my face is all scrubbed and smooth. I can not go a day without using my Freemans charcoal and black sugar scrub/mask. I feel like my face isnt clean without it. Hahaa.

Great review. Very thorough and honest. I love the fact that you said to pair the exfoliant with a chemical one. I do the same. The results of each are very different and they complement each other. I recently bought a sonic cleansing brush and incorporate it into me daily regime. The brush applicator I use along with a grainy exfoliator or cleanser and the rubber massage one I use with my serums or Glycolic ( chemical ) serum so it is fully absorbed . I switch my serums around I may use Fruit acids , retinol, etc. or just a vitamin C, Hyaluronic acid or another facial serum. The Sonic sounds are intended to tighten the muscle tone. Not sure how valid that fact is but it feels great and I am sure the massage aspect most definitely tightens the skin. Thank you for this review I enjoyed it. Very well done and understood !

Love your review, especially the photos! I’m currently switching out between exfoliators- the Paula’s Choice BHA, Klairs’ Sugar Exfoliator, and the A-Thera Tea Tree one. I’m hoping to find a routine that’ll work for my skin ☺️

I currently don't exfoliate but would like to start.

  • Marlena Fannin

I don't use an exfoliater as of yet. Prism Pop has taught me alot about what products I need. I would really like to try this In Sol Mission.

  • Emily Thomas

    I exfoliate usually 2 to 3 times a week.

  • Mariangel Carmona

I exfoliate twice a week, I have also oily acne prone skin. I use nu skin face exfoliator and PTR exfoliating peeling pads alternate.

  • Heather

I think the mild scrub would be great for me. I think it would be sensitive enough for my skin

  • Giorgi

what a detailed review 💕 Thank you! I hate harsh exfoliators too. Currently I'm using Dr.Brandt microdermabrasion skin exfoliator, but it's a little bit drying so I use it only twice a week. BUT I love how it makes my skin glowing and refreshed. I want to try that Touch in sol scrub too. It looks so amazing! 🤗

Great review and awesome tips. I like exfoliates that are gentle. I currently use Intelligent Nutrients Micro Polish.. It is so gentle you can use it everyday. I also use Paula's Choice Exfoliating toner which is very gentle. I think The TIS would work for my skin because it seems to be gentle without irritating the skin.

I seen this on another site I'm following and am interested in trying it out as soon as I finish the thicker stuff I'm using which I don't really care for.

  • Brooke Wallace

I usually exfoliate every morning with a gentle scrub and once a week with a stronger scrub to do a deep cleaning. Current favorite? I think the Mission Complete Mild Scrub would work for me because I want to explore a new mild scrub.

  • Pauline

This exfoliate mild scrub looks light and you say it smell fruity. It also moisturizes skin. Only 1-2 times a week necessary to use. Thanks for this product, good to know. Glad its part of the "Daily Giveaway". Want to try if I win.

  • Autumn

I exfoliate every Wednesday and Saturday. I have used so many different scrubs and I like some for different reasons. Most recently I have been using Dermalogical brand on Wednesday because it is light and Clean & Clear brand on Saturdays for a deeper clean. I feel that Mission Complete might work better for me because I have seen many reviews on it and some with similar skin type as mine. It looks to be a light exfoliant which is perfect for sensitive skin like mine! :) Seeing these whiteheads gone after one use is so thrilling!!

Awesome tips and helpful review for the Touch In Sol Mission Complete Mild Scrub and sharing such clear photos of the product in action. ☺♥ I honestly love that this product really has small like pieces, possibly like a salt grain to scrub the skin. It really is fine enough to get the pores cleaned through and through. I also love how it removes that layer of dead skin to reveal that glowing skin underneath. The best part of exfoliators is that your skin looks and feels great afterward! I am always using an exfoliator daily. I have been using an enzyme peel brand that has similar small beads to exfoliate the skin. It has a gel-like appearance and goes on super light with an orange hue. It also smells like pumpkin pie and ginger cookies. Makes waking up a start on the sweet side. The product is called Earth to Skin Super Greens Green Pumpkin Enzyme Peel. It also has vitamins and antioxidants that really add to the skin and perfect for those with dry skin, it won't dry the skin more and can be used often. I use it daily because it just feels awesome. I find it to be my morning routine, a great cleansed face to start the day with. ~Steps I use to exfoliate~ 1.) I wash my face normally in the shower, to get the pores open by the heat and steam. 2.) I now do a different thing, before applying the exfoliator because I know I prefer to get a deeper cleanse and remove anything off the skin that I can. So I exfoliate my skin, with my own DIY deep clean tool, the spoon. I know sounds odd, but I use a normal spoon that you'd use to eat with, and with a strong push, I use it to get around the nose, chin, and forehead and also my lips to remove grime and dead skin off. It really gets that hard to remove gunk in my pores that get stuck. 3.) Now I use the product, a dime size amount and apply all over my face in circular motions to get a good massaged and cleansed face. Sometimes, I leave it on for a minute when not rushing. 4.) Lastly, I now wash it off and that is normally my routine with the exfoliation product. ♥♥ I would love to try the Touch In Sol, it sounds like it would really be a nice cleanser to exfoliate my skin in the morning. Thank you for sharing. ☺♥

Wow this looks great. I loved your after results , I will definitely give a try to this gel mask. Thank you for the detailed review. I exfoliate my skin three days in a week with my favorite Fig Scrub mask. This scrub mask contains fig powder and black sugar to gently exfoliate my skin and gently remove dead skin leaving the skin soft and supple.

  • katherine wu

I exfoliate once a week because I haven't found an exfoliant that's right for me yet. I would love to try the Touch in Sol, it definitely seems more gentle and I have dry, sensitive skin.

  • Hallie

I exfoliate 1-2 times a week. The Touch in Sol looks like it works well. I would love to try it. I've been using Garnier SkinActive Glow Boost 2-in-1 Facial Mask and Scrub and it has been working for me.
