Don't Waste a drop of Drunk Elephant products!💰💰💰

Drunk Elephant has amazing packaging, there is not doubt! I really enjoy seeing the blocky products line up next to each other snuggly. However, the opaque packaging + twisty cap may be good for keeping the products safe and clean…it also doesn’t let you monitor how much product you have left!

👀💰Here’s a trick I may or may not have accidentally learned. (Works on there cube packaging, not sure about the round ones 🤔)
-Close the twisty cap 🔀
-Hold the bottle sideways like you’re trying to break a chocolate bar in half 🍫
-Use your right (or dominant hand) 🖐🏼 to prevent the cap from twisting and hold down the top half of the cap
-Gently test which side is easier to open ☺️
-Use some force to detach the bottom white shell from the top cap 🤏🏼 and...
👀 LOOK AT HOW MUCH PRODUCT IS LEFT! 👀  (I found this out just before I went to place an order for a new one) I had at least 1/4 left!
-Untwist the bottom half, twist it back on extra tight
-Optional, shake it a few times so the cap can reach the product again
-Put the white shell back on 💁🏻‍♀️

Boom! Another few weeks of product and a lot of dollars saved! 🤑

Hope you try this next time you think you run out of product!

(Of course, I couldn’t help but try it on my other drunk elephant products!)

This is an amazing tip I will definitely use. I love saving product!

  • Tiffany Yuen

Ahh this is so smart- thanks for the tip! 😀💕✨ I save product by using teeny tiny spoons to scoop out product that's hard to reach and literally cut open sunscreen and toothpaste tubes. In case I have enough product left to last a few days, I store the leftover portion in a plastic container or empty serum jar. However! If a tube is metal instead of plastic, I squeeze as much as possible but never cut the tube. Safety first!

To get the last drop of makeup i use cotton swabs and to fix makeup i use rubbing alcohol.

This sounds great and I would try this some time but I also put a few drops of water into my bottles and shake them good to get everything out or make it less creamy and give me a bit more applications.

i use all my products without wasting it by breakin the actual packaging and transferring somewhere, where i can get all product left. i will for sure use the tip featured as it helps alot and will be very beneifial for me.

I am so stinking surprised how much product is still in there!

  • Kelly K

Wow that's a lot still in there! I still want to try Drunk Elephant sometime. I actually posted a product a few months ago called Fixy that is this cute little kit that you can buy and fix any broken pans (eyeshadows, blush, highlighters, bronzer, fondation, ect.) Plus you don't need alcohol which can be very drying. You all should check it out. It's very similar to this only I cost more.

Nice hack. I always take my products apart to get to the last drop. On my lotion I will usually cut the bottles apart.

  • Jen

That's crazy that there was still so much left! Now it makes me wonder how much product I've lost with different items throughout the years.

  • Lisa Navas

I don't waste anything, I take the tops off, or cut the bottoms off the screw tops, I will use q-tips, roll the tubes, every one says I'm frugal, but I don't like wasting money,

  • Michelle

Whoa! Didn't even know that the product was in a bottle within the bottle. There was so much product left!!

  • Marlena Fannin

Cool trick to make sure you use all of your product. I can't think of anything at the moment. , Thanks for sharing

  • Pauline

Try Scooping out with a palette spoon and put in a small jar and forget about it. Then toss it in the recycle trash wah la. Problem solved.

  • Tonilynn Rosario

great hack for getting the product out and not waste any.

  • Sreya

For eyeshadow/blush/highlighter that is starting to hit pan or a color that I don't use anymore, I scrape it out with a beauty spatula either into a potted lip balm that I'm making with some dregs of lipstick, OR if I'm making a soap or lotion add the powder for color and sparkle! :)
