Lavender Wet Lid ~ Try this trend!

Summer’s hottest makeup trend? ☀️💦 A wet eyelid--hands down. Admittedly, this was something that really started trending last summer, but I’m seeing it come back now and I’m all here for it.

While you can do this with any color, and use any similar products, I particularly am a fan of a lavender wet lid. There’s something about the balance of a subtle color like lavender with a bold, glossy effect that looks just right.
In this look, I used:
Cream/Nude Base from Smashbox ShapeMatters Palette
- Purple/Lavender Shadow from Nordstrom Beauty Grab Bag (not sold anymore)
Chanel Le Rouge Duo Gloss (The Transparent Gloss End)
Have you tried a "wet" lid look? If not, would you??

Ive never created a wetlook..lavender isnt really my go to color but if this were an emerald green id be all over it...i was never one to follow trendy looks..normally i just use what suits me for my taste and age. But this is definately something i would surely try..❤

It's looks great on you! I'm not sure I like it for myself though. I can't really remember me trying a make up trend. I usually just do a netral, plain look. I've tried a few hairs trends before though. Like I did bangs which was a disaster lol.

That looks beautiful on your eyelids!! I really like it!! I'm not sure how a wet eyeshadow would look on me however you make it look easy and doable!! Thank you very much for your video and sharing this new look with us!! ☺☺

Great post and I like the shadow color but I couldn't use the wet look on my eyes because I have allergies and sometimes my eyes water so I already get the wet look, lol. If I didn't have allergies I'd try the wet look but for now I'll stick with the color of the shadows.

This looks great on you, but I won't even attempt this on my hooded eyes for obvious reasons 😆 great post! Well the Cat Eye Look trend that's been going on forever worked for me since day one many moons ago, so I stick to what works for me, on the other hand I tried the Cut Crease on my hooded eyes, and it takes a lot to make it work for my eye shape, so I just refrain from it because it's too time consuming, so I stick to easier to achieve looks that suit my eye shape much better.

Ohh thanks for sharing this chic look! I personally love a glossy lid (It’s rly in rn), but have a hard time finding a good gloss that isn’t sticky. I’ve tried Elf’s glossy pots, as well as touch in sol’s, and I’m not a fan of either. Honestly what works best for me is just plain clear lip balm/gloss! I find that balms especially tend to be less sticky than their gloss counterparts. :) def a hack to keep in mind!

I think this is a good luck for anyone to try

Nice tutorial and thank you for sharing!! So I "thought" that I am #2old4trend! I think not because I am definitely trying the wet lid. First of all, I love gloss and a wet and glossy eye color is just what I need.

Wait so its lip gloss on your eyes? I don't know if I corks handle any sticky substance on my eyes because they are so hooded, but it looks pretty awesome on you! Great job

Ive never tried the wet look. Its cute and different. I've never tried this but it looks amazing!! Cute and creative!! One trend that ive tried and really like doing is the glitter lash line. I think its so pretty and fun.

Something else I’ve tried instead of gloss( sounds sticky!) is applying some fixit makeup setter spray to a brush and dabbing on top of eyelids, while making sure not to apply too close to the lids

Watched the video about applying lavender wet lid. Really like the colors in Smashbox ShapeMatters Palette nice base colors. The demo with lavender color for eyes does give your a soft look after applying.

I have not tried this look yet, but I think this is something I will try on my daughter for her senior pictures. Thank you for the suggestion.

great job on the wet look. I know I would not do a wet look as for my tastes , I like popping colors.

  • Samara Jefferson

I like that, I will have to try it. It gives you a wet look without weighing you eyelids down or looking caked up. Good job 👁👁

  • Rose Guttillo

This wet looks good on you. I really do not think I could pull off, do the gloss. Good review.

Love this look, it's still on trend. Makeup trends can fun even though they do come and go of course. In the past for example I've done the white eyeliner and it does give a more awake and open look to the eye area, I don't use it anymore but I liked it at the time.
