Length, Precision, or Volume? My 3 favorite Black Mascaras 🖤
Hi all! I wanted to share the three black mascaras I’ve been rotating between lately. There’s a specific reason I like each of them, and since we are having to wear masks so often, I realize that mascara is an important essential for so many of us.
Here’s the lowdown on each one:
1. DHC Double Protection Mascara
This one has been a favorite for days when I know I might tear up (I’m prone to laugh-cry, especially when watching comedy movies). It’s water resistant, lush, lengthening, and has a wand that will get the smaller hairs.
2. MAC Pro Beyond Twisted Lash Mascara
As dark as black mascara gets (or at least as dark as I’ve seen). The darkness and wand have to be my two favorite parts about this mascara. I’ve seen thin wands like this, but haven’t seen one as flexible for sure. This is another mascara great for getting the smaller lashes.
3. Clarins Supra Volume Mascara
This creates a very fanned out, intense, lash look. The wand is a bit thicker, which works towards more volumized lashes. This is my go-to most days, when I just want to look super awake. Since my lashes (thanks mom and dad) are naturally pretty long, my biggest concern is volume as opposed to length.
All in all, choosing the right black mascara just comes down to your personal needs and aspirations. Do you seek to lengthen? Darken? Volumize? Know what you’re going for, and I’m sure one of these three will do the trick for you.
