Post-Shower Facial Routine for extra ME time - Feat. Fun Facial Tools!

As someone who's always shooting content, whether it be for Instagram, YouTube, or otherwise, I sometimes just need a minute to slow. it. down.
So, let's talk about MAXIMUM me-time!
This routine is ideal for others looking to slow down, and take that extra time to pamper themselves, perhaps in lieu of going to a salon/spa and getting a facial--since that’s likely not an option these days.
P.S. The jade roller helps improve blood circulation, which does help to improve your overall health, and the stone from both these tools generally stays cool, which helps de-puff the face! Bonus tip: if you are super into de-puffing, try putting these tools in the fridge overnight before using them.
You can use any serum and moisturizer duo that you like--my current favorites are from Tata Harper. I used the Tata Harper Rejuvenating Serum first with the tools, followed by the Tata Harper Illuminating Moisturizer. Both of them have a texture that blend perfectly into the skin when rolled in with these facial tools!
I got my Jade Roller and Gua Shua set from Amazon, but you can find this duo in several different places online--just make sure your set is made of the real stone!

Step 1: Apply your serum gently onto your face with your fingers. Use the Jade Roller to roll the product into the skin--do so slowly, take your time because you deserve it! The larger side of the roller is to be used on the cheeks, forehead, and neck, and always remember to move the roller in an upwards (or diagonal, if necessary) motion so it helps sculpt the face. The smaller side of the tool can be used under the eyes.
Step 2: Apply your moisturizer and follow the same directions as above.
Step 3: Line up the long edge of the Gua Shua tool so it would hit just under the cheekbone--where you would start a makeup contour, but move from the chin upwards when actually pressing on the skin. Repeat motion 10-15 times per side.
I always recommend doing this routine when you know you’ve got time on your hands. Taking that extra time, really, truly helps you feel refreshed!

Amazing tips for everyone, especially beginners or those new to tools. I also use a micro needle roller to really get into those pores, going in the same directions as a jade roller and a stainless steel roller that I keep in the freezer for de-puffing my eyes in the morning. Thanks so much for sharing 😊

I have a roller and love using it on my skin. I want to try Tatcha products as soon as I get some extra money.

Wow! Products look great. My favorite tool I love to use is my Luna Mini 2 cleansing device. It is expensive, but I think it is worth it because when I use it cleansers as part of my daily routine, the device gently but thoroughly cleanses your face. My face now has looked better and for my acne cleansers, they have gotten more effective at minimizing acne when I use it! My favorite products are hair masks because if you find the right ones, they can nourish your hair nicely and keep it soft and hydrated.

This looks like a great routine! I LOVE showers as it gives me a little “me” time to myself. My favorite product is my makeup sponge. I really love using it because I am prone to acne, and on those days where I forget to wash my face or just those sad gloomy days, I use foundation to cover it up. The sponge helps the foundation spread evenly across my face, as well as blending it thoroughly. My favorite product is lipstick. It is perfect because many people have complimented me on how i look with lipstick, plus it is a less messier alternative to lip oil or liquid lipstick if it is a nourishing one. That roller looks great!

I use the roller and I love it. It feels so good on my face. I just got it about a week ago. Even if your not using the serum you can use that roller on your face because it feels so good! Great review and thank you for sharing!

Wow! These products look amazing! My favorite beauty tool is an eyelash curler. Since my lashes are really hard to make them show, I have to use it. I put on mascara and then curl up my lashes for a good effect. If I didn’t know what eyelash curlers were, my beauty routine would have been much different than what it is now. The curler may get some mascara on it, but its worth it! I have been meaning to buy a jade roller, so thanks for reminding me.

Great video. I have a roller. I use it to wake up my face in the morning. These products look so good!!! My favorite tool is a makeup sponge. My favorite product is lip gloss. I have to have at least two lip glosses at all times.

You did a good job with video but I don't need a jade roller because I massage my face for circulation so I don't have to buy a tool to do that. The Tata Harper products are insanely priced for me when I get better products for less. But than again younger people do like to blow their money where I like to use it for necessary stuff.

I have a jade roller but I had no idea to use it. 😂 Thank you for the tips. I use a moisturizing cream so I will have to try this. My best makeup accessories are a set of brushes I got as freebies. They are the first set I've owned and I never understood the various uses each has until now. Thank you for the great tutorial. 💜

This vid & post definitely make me want to go buy a jade roller! I have never used one but after this video, I can't wait to try it.

  • Candi

Post shower I love using a body oil. It’s so easy and quick to apply and keeps my skin soft and moisturized all day.

I have always been curious about the Jade roller and after watching this I think I'm going to get one to try for myself. Especially considering that my favorite beauty tool is my serum stick and if I can use another tool with it to get a better outcome I think that I'm going to have to give it a try!!! Thanks for the video!!!

Serums and moisturizers are the best things for the skin! I love using those daily. These products look wonderful and sound amazing. I definitely love the real gemstone jade used to massage the face and help reduce puffiness and help with smoothing and making the face so much youthful! Plus it just feels great ♥ Awesome Review and wonderful video.

  • Charley

This is how I apply my serum and moisturizer every night. Very informative how to video.

Loved the routine! I guess I don't really have any makeup/beauty tools, just some brushes and cleanser scrub. I'm thinking of maybe getting a blackhead remover, but I'm not sure if I would be able to work it correctly and I wouldn't want to ruin my skin.

  • Jessica Bryant

You’re adorable! I love this tutorial too! One of my favorite tools is my metal extractor. It allows me to release pimples and stubborn blackheads without irritating the skin surrounding them. Looking forward to your next video! 😍🌸
