Trying luxurious shower products - sandalwood scent, my fave 😌
Sandalwood is by far one of my favorite scents, and it brings me back to my childhood when my parents used to take me to the temple. Fun fact: sandalwood is sometimes burned in temples, and is symbolic of cleansing the spirit. When Necessaire sent me these three products, I was instantly comforted just at the smell of them. Though, when I actually started using each of them, what stood out to me beyond the scent was the texture of each of them.
The body wash is not extremely thick, and spreads well on the body. It isn’t like a lot of other soaps and body washes you’ll see that have a super thick texture, and that’s something I definitely like about this product. It gets foamy almost immediately after mixing it with water.
The exfoliator does have a lot of microbeads, but isn’t thick like a lot of clay based exfoliators. Again, the consistency is thinner than usual products, and I’m all here for it. Though it doesn’t deeply exfoliate, it does get rid of the surface grime, and has a super soothing effect.
While the first two products weren’t as thick, the body lotion definitely was. Oh--and this is the one product that wasn’t scented! It was extremely rich, and does take a lot of rubbing to get the product on. But the result is amazing; it leaves your skin nourished for days on end. I actually got by not applying body lotion for the next 2 days and didn’t see a patch of dryness anywhere!
Learning about textures and skincare is something that comes less natural to me, but for this reason I’m extremely curious when I receive a skincare product. It isn’t my area of forte, and this leads me to want to discover more about it. I usually go the extra mile to try to understand a skincare product further than just using it and saying “it’s nice” or “it works.”
I hope this review got you thinking a little bit more about skin care and what your products do for you! See you guys in my next post.
