TATCHA - The Rice Wash & My Cleansing Routine
For centuries, Japanese women included rice as an essential part of their daily diet and beauty ritual for clear, bright, and dewy skin. It was customary to use the milky water from the first wash of rice to soften, smooth, and moisturize the face, body, and hair.
Did you know that?! I sure didn't... And seeing how their skin is always so flawless, they must know what they are talking about! Therefore, when I was chosen to be a tester for the Tatcha The Rice Wash Cleanser, I was so excited! Clear, bright, dewy, smooth, and moisturized skin?! Who doesn't want that?!
About the product:
-For normal to dry skin.
-Japanese rice extracts soften and boost luminosity.
-Hyaluronic acid and ceramics-rich algae hydrate skin.
-pH-neutral amino acid-base gently cleanses.
😉My Skin: My face day to day is normal to dry, sensitive, red, and with occasional hormonal acne.
🍚Application: The directions didn't really specify how much of the product to use, so I used a dime to a nickel-sized amount.
First off, let me say that this cleanser smells amazing! I'm not sure of the scent, but it's mild and pleasant. I added some warm water onto my face and started to rub on the cleanser. It had a very different texture than any other cleanser I have used: it was a bit more thick and sticky, and slightly grainy. Here's my face with it all over!
🧽Once I had it applied all over my face, I used my trusty Konjac sponge (damp with warm water) to help remove the cleanser. (The konjac sponge works to gently exfoliate your skin, sloughing away dead skin cells, giving skin a smooth, glowy complexion.)
Once I had it all removed off of my face, my face did indeed feel smooth, soft, hydrated, and refreshed (and that was even before any of my other skincare)! It didn't irritate my sensitive face, or any of the acne on my chin.
🌟Lastly, here's a comparison picture of before and after use!
