Time to destress and relax! #glowmask

For many kinds of products, people, including me, like to stick to tried and tested products. But for masks, I’ll try anything (that’s non irritating obviously lol)! Masks are like desserts for your skin - they’re not part of every meal (skincare routine), but are nourishing and indulging treats that your skin loves! I love my masks - I would use a different one everyday if I could, but I only have time for a few every week. My favorite masks are a duo of Icelandic masks that I discovered on a past trip to Iceland a few years ago, and I have been repurchasing them ever since! (I also found this amazing exfoliating cleanser that has micro-crystalline lava, but I will hopefully discuss this in a different post!)

This duo consists of the Algae Mask and Silica Mud Mask from Blue Lagoon Iceland. These masks are color free, cruelty free, dermatologically tested, fragrance free, gluten free, paraben free, and vegan!

In my pictures above, I have applied the Silica Mud Mask. It contains blue lagoon silica mud and seawater straight from Iceland, and these lovely ingredients form this clay mask that improves complexion by minimizing pores, and strengthens and cleanses the skin! My face always feels so smooth after using this, and I feel refreshed, and my pores feel detoxified! To use it, I applied a generous amount of the mask to my face, and I spread it quickly while it still had a wet texture. The mask dried in a couple of minutes, and I left it on for about 10 mins before washing it off.

The algae mask works perfectly with the mud mask, because while the mud mask can be slightly drying, the algae mask provides hydration and a beautiful glow to the skin! This nourishing formula is boosted by blue lagoon microalgae and silica mud, harvested in Iceland. I use it the same as I do the silica mud mask. My face is soft and smooth after using this mask, and my skin is bouncy and bright!

My complexion is improved by this combo of masks, and I feel like they give my skin a real treat! Sometimes, I use a jade roller or a cooling globe to massage the masks onto my face for extra effects.

Some honorable mentions from my mask shelf (pictured on the last slide):

Glamglow Supermud Charcoal Instant Treatment Mask - great for cleansing/detoxifying those pores!

EVE LOM Rescue Mask - calms the skin and improves radiance and complexion!

I’m from Mugwort Mask (received a mini from prismpop!) - soothes and detoxifies!

Filorga Meso-Mask - energizes and brightens, also has anti-aging effects!

Ole Henriksen Moment of Truth 2-in-1 Polishing Sugar Mask - polishes, smoothes, and brightens skin!

I’m currently looking for a good exfoliating mask - does anyone have any recommendations?

Wow!! Your Blue Lagoon Iceland masks sound perfect!! πŸ₯° It’s hard to find skincare without fragrance, so I’m glad to hear that these are unscented! It’s also really cool that the ingredients are sourced from Iceland! My first thought is that this would make an amazing gift for friends and family. Since it’s not safe to travel right now, gifts that remind us of travel adventures are particularly impactful this year! πŸ’—

These masks look very interesting. I love it is like a spa day at home and you can relax and melt away all the stress. So to answer your question...good exfoliating mask for me is The INKEY List Kaolin Mask. I squeeze a dime size dollop on the palm of my hand and gently massage my face with it. I let it sit for 15 minutes and then wash it off. The texture is smooth and creamy. It helps remove impurities, absorbs excess oil and exfoliates dead skin cells without drying my skin out. It is gentle mask so it is ideal for any skin type, even sensitive like mine. Fragrance free. My face feels clean, smooth and refreshed. This mask is very affordable. πŸ‘ Please check out my posts, like them and comment. πŸ’ž By doing all this, PrismPop may award you 156 coins on EACH of my posts. Thanks πŸ‘πŸ’‹πŸ’šπŸ’› πŸ’–πŸ’œπŸ’™
