Under Eye Skin is Thin!! 👀 What to do:

While we wish it weren’t so, the skin around your eyes is one part of your body that can show the earliest signs of premature aging, particularly without proper care.
The skin around your eyes is thinner and more delicate than the skin on other parts of your body. And because your eyes work a lot throughout the day (blinking, rubbing, expressing emotions).
Other reasons the skin around the eyes age more quickly:
genetic reasons,UV rays, external stressors, lifestyle choices
💧 Moisturize 💧
Putting moisturizer on your skin plumps it up and potentially reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Our eye area lacks oil glands (our skin’s natural moisturizer), so they can be more prone to dryness.
You can use your regular face cream for your under eyes, but since the skin is thin it can be sensitive to regular face cream. If you feel a stinging sensation or see any redness, invest in an eye cream.
Eye Cream: GlamGlow Bright Eyes Illuminating Anti Fatigue Eye Cream
Under Eye Masks: Beauty 360 Hydrogel Hydrating Eye Mask
💨 Puffiness 💨
Getting enough sleep or drinking enough water are huge factors to keeping puffiness away, but ingredients like caffeine and green tea are great for calming the skin.
My secret weapon is using a jade roller right when I wake up in the morning! I keep it in the fridge for an extra cooling effect. I always role from the inside of my face out, and use the small end for the under eyes.
🤲 Gentle 🤲
From removing your eye makeup to applying products onto the skin around your eyes, it’s important to be gentle, because of the thin skin.
Always apply products with your ring or pinky finger, lightly tapping it in circling your eye area
Oil cleansing is imperative to the health of your under eyes, it’s strong enough to take off eye make up without having to vigorously rub.

Balm is awesome for getting rid of eye makeup and I love putting rollers in the fridge! So cooling!

Thanks for the awesome post! I haven’t been able to find an under eye moisturizer that doesn’t make my eyes puffy in the morning. Trying to find the right one is such a task, which is my biggest concern for under eyes!

What a great review. Thanks for all the details. I do eye cream and eye mask/ patches. Then seem to help. I will have to try a caffeinated eye mask and some eye serum.

Like the review and products sound great but I have to watch what I use around my eyes because I have dry eyes and use drops. I will have to research these items to make sure they don't make my eyes dryer.

I have never tried caffeine or green tea for under eye puffiness but it looks like a great idea. I am Glam glow skincare fan currently using their brightening serum and loving the glow on my face. I will look in to this under eye brightening eye cream, i don't use eye creams because sometimes they irritate my eyes. Thanks for your detailed review.

I use to think that many skincare tools were pretty much a gimmick. Until I purchased a jade roller and I use the jade roller more under my eyes after applying skincare and eye cream and it makes a world of difference for the best.

I love caffeine in eye cream. It helps so much! I like to use natural lightening. If that's not available, I like to use low lightening and then edit the picture. My biggest eye concerns are wrinkles. I make sure to keep my eye areas hydrated at all times.

for lighting and camera situations you must not use any synthetic based foundations, loose setting powders, face powders and mists as you will get horrible flash back. my undereye concerns are they are very dark and absolutely nothing works, and puffy and tired looking, and droopy. i use vitamin c eye cream by body shop, but nothing dramatically special.

The undereye concerns I have are bags and dark circles. I take care of them by using vitamin eye serum and a rose quartz role. I also use gold under eye hydration patches at night.

I really like the products I've used from The Ordinary and was thinking about trying the caffeine solution. I'm definitely going to try it now.

  • Rita Whirls

Nice review. I love all the products. These products will help a lot. Thanks for all the information.

Great review 👍 on all your facial products! I also have undereye dark circles, for which I was using Glamglow Anti-aging Cream.. I only had a sample jar so it didn't last long. I need to get more because it was the one thing that I found to help my dark circles. Might I ask where you found yours? Thanks for sharing.

  • Patricia

Thanks for such a great post packed with valuable information! I use to have puffy eyes now and then, but I changed my diet, and drink tons of water, and never again, for dark circles I like Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Cream that curiously contains no banana whatsoever, also the Clarins eye lifting cream, works great for eyelids, but I'm not consistent, I also use a jade roller basically for lymphatic drainage emphasizing my jaw for contour.

Thanks for that in depth info on eye care, Yes..This part is very important, I like LaMer's new under eye cream but it's super expensive so I kinda got used to it when I got a sample but at the retail price of $300.00 I had to find something a lot cheaper..So I use a Korean eye cream from Allure and Its very light and soothing and I usually use this in the morning, rubbing it with my ring finger real lightly

🧐 What undereye concerns do you have? How do you take care of them? Luckily, even at 48, I don’t have wrinkles around my eyes eyes or any other major issues. However! I have always been plagued with dark circles. I haven’t found any product that rids them. Ever. I’ve always used some pretty good concealers. But this summer, I started using Glossier Stretch Concealer... And I’m totally crushing on it 😍 It gives such lightweight, full, total, complete coverage. It lasts all day, and even withstood the hot, humid Texas heat 🥰🇨🇱🥰 I just bought The INKEY List Caffeine Eye Cream and The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG... I’ll see how they do❗️
